As you wander
into the old port of Puerto del Carmen, you enter
into the daily bustle of a working harbour, and within
the heart of this charming atmosphere is a cluster of
restaurants known for their quality and style - Puerto
Viejo, El Bodegón, El Asador, San Miguel Cervecerís,
La Dolce Vita Due and the El Varadero.
The delightful
Puerto Viejo Restaurant and Grill is the perfect
place to enjoy a meal by the sea. Our great pride is in
the quality of all the food we serve - the juiciest of
meats, fresh caught fish, and the tastiest seasonal fruits
and vegetables the island has to offer. All these ingredients
are then carefully prepared according to our chef, Luis
León Romero, internationally acclaimed and famous
for the care and creativity he puts into every dish that
leaves his kitchen. The wide variety of cooking styles
is sure to tempt any palette whether your tastes are more
to land or sea, and of course, our special children's
menu includes all their favourites. As the name suggests
the décor of the restaurant reflects its sea surroundings
which you can enjoy from either ground level or on the
open terrace above, since every seat is front row centre
to one of the best views of
the "old port". The attention to detail, which
our friendly staff are noted for, turns eating into an
elegant dining experience.

El Bodegón
If you're looking
for something a little more casual,
then tucked away in the back you'll discover a real gem an authentically recreated Spanish wine cellar, complete
with presses and all the tools of past centuries to lend
atmosphere. The house specializes in delicious tapas typical
to Castille, cheese, hams, montaditos (those habit forming
little sandwiches), and in keeping with the relaxed atmosphere,
you can even grill fresh meat at your table!
But if you're not into that then our wonderful waiters
will happily look after you.
